Many tourists never heard about Margarita Island, even though it is seriously promoted by tourism agencies. It is a wonderful sunny island, having many things to offer, and mostly explored by Europeans and Canadians with their cruise ships. This great island is located on the northern part of Venezuela, and can be approached by sea, from any nearby island or from Caracas, by plain; and this is the only negative aspect on traveling to this location: the difficult accessibility. Besides these, if you miss traveling, you can adventure to a much farer location and visit the tallest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls. If you are a shopping addicted person, this wonderful island provides you with many local crafts. Here you can purchase, for a fair price, the famous colored pearls, born into its waters. As well, you can find many other souvenirs and clothing at the local markets and always obtain great bargains. Besides, many locals provide handicrafts, unique options, as you can approach the market in Porlamar, an area outside of town.
