The best tip I can offer anyone travelling to London or any big city is make sure you securely store your luggage! Mine got stolen in a hostel and I don't want it to happen to you.

From my experience of travelling to London you may need to store your luggage in a secure lock up for a few days. Trust me its better than leaving it in a hostel - where my luggage got stolen :-(

It doesn't matter what country your in just Google self storage and you'll find lots of places to choose from. My main tip would be to hunt around for a cheap and better service than your first quote. After researching I more than halved the first storage price I got. This was given to me by Henfield Storage in South Wimbledon. Very Cheap and they collected my stuff for free. Can't recommend them enough!

Its much easier if you store your luggage in a secure unit, especially if you don't want the burden of dragging your suit case around a busy city centre or a nice restaurant.
Lock it away in a secure locker! You can 9 times out of 10 go back to get stuff out if need be as well.

For things like passport and cash I wouldn't recommend storing those in self storage. Although its safe its just safer to keep it on your person. Especially in the event you run into any trouble! If the police are involved you will need your ID and cash! - Fingers crossed you wont get into a situation like that tho ;-)

So to round up be smart and do your research. If your staying in a city for a long period of time chances are you wont be staying in a nice hotel with a locked room! You'll be staying in hostel. Nice enough but unfortunately in the world we live in its hard to trust people. The person you can really trust is your self.
