There are over 80 beaches in Ibiza. There are ones where you can leave your bikinis and speedos behind, and others where that kind of activity would raise a few eyebrows. Some of them are quiet and secluded, and some are packed full of sweaty ravers like sardines in an oily tin can. There are countless others in between, too. Read on for a list of the best beaches to visit during your holiday to Ibiza!

BenirrĂ¡s Beach - The one with hippies, bongos and memorable sunsets

This small, 160-metre bay might not seem that special in the daytime, but wait till the sun starts sagging. It is in the evening that the hippies and locals emerge to 'drum down the sunset', and the beach serves as a setting to a musical ritual. The warm vibes at BenirrĂ¡s are amazing, with people playing on drums and bongos, and everyone being silhouetted against the dusky, orange sky. If you come here on your Ibiza holiday, and you should, at least bring a sand-bucket you can tap on!

Playa D'en Bossa - The one with parties, house music and hangovers the next morning

This is the longest beach in Ibiza, stretching for over 2 kilometres. It is also home to two famous venues that go by the names of Space and Bora Bora, need I say more? Both hold all day parties and attract talent such as Felix Da Housecat, Deep Dish and Groove Armada. If you want to mingle and meet new people whilst being submerged in the low drones of a subwoofer, come to this beach.

Las Salinas - The one with even more partying

This crescent-shaped beach wraps around the southernmost point of the island like a tight-fitting bikini. The beach is 1.5 kilometres long and is only a 15 minute drive away from Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa. Like the ones aforementioned, it attracts those looking to party... and those looking to get naked, judging by the large nudist sections. For a liquid lunch, stumble down to Sa Trinxa Bar, which is legendary for serving its cocktail of delicious Balearic beats and friendly clientele!

Playa Des Cavallet - The one where everything hangs free

There is little to say about this beach, and there are even less clothes on it. That's because it's Ibiza's Official Nudist Beach! The beach is over a kilometre long and blessed with heaps of white sand. It also has an array of sand dunes to protect those going au naturel from prying eyes.

Cala Conta and Cala Bassa - The ones for families

With lifeguards on duty, shallow waters and tonnes of fine white sand, these two beaches are perfect for little ones. They can splash around and chase after fish, whilst you curl up on a lounger and relax. Situated outside of San Antonio, these two beaches are served by regularly departing ferries that stop at most resorts. You won't even have to worry about hearing "...Are we there yet?" as they enjoy the boat ride to and from these beaches.
