New Zealand has fast become an incredibly popular vacation destination. This country in the South Pacific offers a diverse range of things to do and see, ensuring an amazing vacation for any type of traveler. New Zealand has beautiful beaches, stunning mountains, amazing glaciers, and a rich local culture. With a little bit of time and effort it is easy to plan the perfect New Zealand holiday. Getting to New Zealand is an easy, but lengthy plane ride. New Zealand is best explored by car, so it is recommended that visitors rent a vehicle. There are many car rental companies located at the airport. It should be noted that in New Zealand people drive on the left side of the road. New Zealand offers a wide range of accommodations to fit every budget. There are motels and hotels from basic to luxury. An even less expensive option is a hostel; there are low cost hostels in nearly every tourist area. Those interested in less conventional lodging may want to look into farm stays. Farm stays offer many of the features of a bed & breakfast while also giving a visitor a glimpse of life on a farm in the New Zealand countryside. New Zealand is comprised of two main islands, aptly named North Island and South Island. Both islands have beautiful scenery and many activities for visitors. A couple of the most popular visitor destinations are: Abel Tasman National Park is one of the most visited national parks in the country. This gorgeous coastal park is an excellent place for kayaking and hiking. Bay of Islands features 100 small islands just of the coast of North Island- people love to visit for the pristine beaches, sailing, and big-game fishing. New Zealand is an amazing destination- few places in the world can match the beauty, history and culture that New Zealand has to offer. A holiday in New Zealand is sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.
