As you definitely know, Caribbean islands offer many wonderful choices to spend your time and, more than this, opting for them, you are going to explore some unique, exquisite experiences. We all feel, from several years now, that, going for a great vacation is a necessity and not an extravagance demand, as it used to be. Dealing with stressful situations at work, at home and everywhere else we head on, we definitely need, from time to time, some days just for us, to relax and get our strength back.

If you feel like this, then you should consider going to Barbados. Why do I suggest you this? Because, it is a famous tourist destination and it offers you the possibility to do some great things. For several days, these things help you to forget about all your worries and, in the end, to find again your mental and physical equilibrium. Of course, you can always take a couple of days off, to stay at home and relax while browsing wonderful pictures and articles about some exotic locations, but, trust me, nothing compares with being there. You need to experience the excitement that every tourist feels, when visiting Barbados.

Majestically placed to the west of the Atlantic Ocean, this wonderful island offers you its fantastic vegetation, beautiful blue skies and sandy beaches, just to make sure that all your tensions and worries immediately melts away; and, you should not be too surprised, when they completely disappear. As well, there are many exciting things that you can do and, most of them, might even surprise you, as you never thought to find them over there.

Let us get started. One great thing is that you can enjoy a relaxing golf game. This island even boasts a great local Golf Club, being able to provide any information you might need. There are 72 amazing golf courses and, if you like so, you can always participate in small tournaments. This sport seems to gain more popularity each day and, from this point of you, Barbados is doing everything it can, especially supporting many Golf Championship events.

If you are not golf passionate, there are some other great ideas on how you can spend your time, in a relaxing manner. You can enjoy a great visit to the Mount Gay Rum Factory, to see how the real, old rum is made. This definitely impresses you, as the factory's history is amazing. The most important stop is at the Mount Gay bar, a great, traditional place where you can taste different, good quality rums. You should definitely experience this, as it is a unique, yet representative top thing of the area.

Of course, what is a vacation without experiencing a great cuisine in a wonderful, local ambiance? Dining in style creates one of the most delighting activities. Many restaurants offer you great food choices and you can try all kinds of fresh seafood specialties. One great restaurant you should consider is Josef's, favorite by many locals and tourists because of its romantic ambiance. As well, try Tapas, a seaside restaurant, which you can find along the south coast of the island.

As well, another amazing activity turning in a wowing experience is swimming with the turtles, in sparkling-clear blue waters. While swimming, you might find yourself guarded by these giant, yet gentle creatures. There are also other water activities, involving snorkel and scuba diving. Roger's company provides for you complete scuba equipment and helps you to find the best diving spots. You can also take some surfing lessons, appreciated by many tourists. As a beginner you can try the west and south coast of the island, while, as an expert surfer you may experience a high level of difficulty, by trying out the east coast, where huge waves splash against the desolate shore.

Another great and relaxing way to spend your time is to rent one of those open-air jeeps and drive around the island, exploring unique places. A wonderful location to visit, St. Lucy, is placed to the north of the island and offers dramatic views. As well, you can stop at Bathsheba, a place from where you can admire the great force of the Atlantic Ocean, or at Round House to watch daredevil surfers, breathing the amazing life that Barbados Island offers them.
