We all are witnesses to the fact that the modern China is slowly becoming one of the world's top tourist destinations. Many tourists are turning towards China, as it has huge opportunities to offer. It is a certainty that China is the largest country of the world, followed by Russia and Canada. Located in the Eastern part of Asia, it has a huge and rich history and thousands of tourists visiting its sites are definitely stunned and amazed, by its ancient treasures, historical sites and vibrant cities with friendly people. To complete an entire tour, might take you easily a couple of years but visiting China, there are some attractions, which you should never miss out. The Great Wall of China is one of their historical masterpieces, leaving you stunned while traveling along it. You just cannot skip this prove of 2.000 years of history. Built as protection, today the wall is the most popular attraction between tourists. As well, another wonderful attraction is the Temple of Heaven, being one of the most scenic locations within the area; it presents a perfect blend of architecture and art, with a perfect landscape and local vegetation. Another important renowned location, the Terracotta Warriors of Qin dynasty, which makes the subject of these writers, is a breathtaking piece of art, located in Xian; it is there for more than 2.000 years, and anyone can admire it at the Museum of Emperor Qin Shihuangdi. It is the greatest archeological site ever discovered, containing life-sized warriors together with their horses, while accompanying the emperor into a battle. Behind this wonderful art piece stays the ability of emperor to control the unified China's resources, in a desperate attempt to maintain his empire, even afterlife. The scene of the Terracotta Warriors of Qin dynasty reproduces the location of the Shaanxi province, nearby today's modern town, Xi'an. The first Emperor of the Qin dynasty, Ying Zheng, was ruling China in a dangerous, chaotic period of its history. Later on, his follower, King Zheng, united all Chinese provinces through bloody battles, and, in the end, China was born; the Emperor renamed himself as being the "First Emperor of China" (Qin Shihuangdi). He was an exceptional leader, being the first one thinking about a protection wall, and thanks to him, we can admire today the Great Wall of China, and the nearby routes and canals. After he died, Qin dynasty was replaced by the Han dynasty, but it let as inheritance a grand subterranean mausoleum together with an impressive life-size terracotta army, in the historical location, named City of Dead. The mausoleum includes the tomb of Qin Shihuangdi, containing an area of 500 square meters. The mausoleum was found guarded by bronze and ceramic sculptures, including horses, cranes, chariots, human and horse's armors, and many other miniatures, representing Terracotta Warriors of Qin dynasty depicting different acrobats and old-times officials. Those three pits, including the Terracotta Warriors of Qin dynasty, are situated at east from mausoleum. They were discovered at the beginning of the year 1920, being constructed through excavations and placement of brick floors. After that, the workers created the tunnels and rammed partitions. Later, when the Terracotta Warriors of Qin dynasty pieces were placed, the pits were buried, and, at the time of excavation, the first one and the largest pit was containing the main part of infantry, the second one, the chariots together with a part of infantry and cavalry, and the third one, the command headquarters. It was also discovered a forth pit, but there were no elements on it, so the specialists estimate that the emperor died, and this is the reason why none completed the work. Until the present day, the archeologists finalized the work only on 1.000 soldiers and, the rest of 7.000 soldiers, 110 cavalry horses and 130 chariots with horses, still await their time, being a huge ongoing project. Of course, the Terracotta Warriors of Qin dynasty pieces are all excavated, so anyone can admire them, but the final touches still need to be carefully applied. In addition, there are many other wonderful locations you can visit in China, as the Yellow Mountain, the Forbidden City or Potala Palace, and you can enjoy visiting them one by one, in different vacations, or just choose the best ones and have a tour booked in advance. Either way, the bottom line, is that you are going to be amazed, as any other tourist is.
