The Luxurious Riu Palace Pacifico Opens its Doors

By: Travel Mexico - Article Submitted on: 2008-10-14

Today October 3rd, 2008, RIU Hotels & Resorts will be inaugurating the Palace Pacifico, a luxury hotel in Riviera Nayarit on Mexico’s Pacific shores just 15 kilometres from Puerto Vallarta. The 445-room hotel is located on the beachfront and joins ClubHotel Riu Jalisco and Riu Vallarta, with which the chain now has a total of 1,695 rooms on offer in the destination.

"We are very pleased and proud to inaugurate the Riu Palace Pacifico. This brand-new hotel belongs to RIU’s most luxurious line and completes our offer in Riviera Nayarit, an attractive emerging destination where we already have a Classic hotel and an establishment in the ClubHotel line", affirms Luis Riu, CEO of Riu Hotels & Resorts, who, as always, will be present at the opening in Mexico.

With the inauguration of the Riu Palace Pacifico, the chain now has a total of 14 hotels and 7,382 rooms in Mexico, a stellar Latin American destination for the chain in terms of arrivals and revenue.

The new hotel is set in a peerless location just one kilometre from Flamingos Golf Club, 5 from the shopping district and 13 from the airport in Puerto Vallarta. The new establishment, which offers RIU’s acclaimed 24-hour All-Inclusive service and room service, has five restaurants, three of which feature à la carte specialties. Prominent among them is the fusion restaurant Krystal, the modern culinary concept created by RIU in 2007.

The hotel also has five bars, two meeting rooms, a large swimming pool, a gymnasium, a nightclub and a children’s pool and club, among other services.
