Kuta is a popular beach resort town of Indonesia. It is located in southern Bali, and one of the Indonesia most popular tourist destinations. It is known for it's long sandy beach, variety of accommodation options, bars and restaurants. Coconut trees line the sandy beach and Kuta also offers one of the best and most lively nightlife of Bali. Although the beaches are relatively safe, well maintained and partially clean the main city can be a bit clogged with traffic, particularly during the peak seasons of July and August.

There are hundreds of touts and hawkers which may bother you so it's better to get mentally prepare yourself in advance and simply ignore them. Certain areas of Kuta beach can be filthy with garbage, avoid those. Stay healthy and try not to swim in the polluted areas and keep sun protection and mosquitoes repellent too. The weather is hot & humid so ensure you drink enough. You can also experience the daily spectacular sunsets. Up North near Singaraja, Lovina Beach also has its own collection of pubs, restaurants, and discotheques. Kuta is famous for surfing, and the surf boards & boogie boards are available to rent or bring your own. The main shops are located along Legian street. Its very easy to reach Kuta beach and only 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai Airport. The accommodation in Kuta range from a modest home stay for a few dollars a night to luxurious, five star, international hotels costing several hundred to several thousand dollars a night.
