Buddhist Festival in Sikkim and International trekking program

Sikkim is a beautiful kingdom situated on the edge of Eastern Himalayas. The supreme provocation of this state is mountains and the whole realm is conquered by the almighty Mt. Kanchenjunga. Saga Dawa the holy festival of Sikkim is an extremely honored event of the Buddhists. On this day in diverse years of his life, Lord Buddha took birth, achieved enlightenment and attained nirvana and therefore the festival is believed to be the triple blessed festival as three auspicious occasions fall on the same day Saga Dawa reminds the life of Lord Buddha, a prince born in Nepal in Lumbini reside royal lifestyle and recoil from the imperial means for the search of Enlightenment. Saga Dawa is the festival where a pageant is arranged which carries the Holy Books encompasses the teachings of Lord Buddha from the Tsuklakhang Monastery in the palace and takes it around the town. The people of Sikkim on this day go to the monasteries offer butter lamps and worship their Lord. Impressive celebrations of this holy festival merging with exciting trekking tours in Sikkim attract a massive amount of tourists from all over the world.
